preparations stack? - Guild Wars Forums

I noticed during the last beta that preparations for a ranger wouldn't stack. I sat there casting read the wind and ignite arrows and one would just simply replace the other. Was it just for those, or all preparations? Anyway, the read the wind and ignite arrow combination should be corrected on this website (the ranger section).

Preperations do not stack, as you experienced the first one cast goes away and only the second preperation is left.. This is also the same for stances.

So is this the same thing as like the skill "Watch Yourself" I cast it then when I realized it was running out I cast it again but it just goes away? Does this mean I have to wait for it to run out before recast?

wait, do you mean that a stance replaces a preparation or that stances just don't stack with other stances? thanks.

You can use a stance and a preparation at the same time.

You cannot have 2 stances active at the same time.
You cannot have 2 preparations active at the same time.

The ranger skill "Favorable Winds" is a Nature Ritual, not a preparation.

If you want to stack buffs on ranger arrows, you have to put enchantments on top of preps. You can stack multiple enchantments, but not multiple copies of the same enchantment.
